For various and sundry reasons I won’t go into here (lest I suddenly start sounding like some teenage diarist), I am feeling particularily misanthropic today… which means I’m going to sit around, eat ice cream, and play the Match Game drinking game. Later.

One of the co-authors of The Rules, the book that told women to stay quiet and get plastic surgery if they wanted to ‘keep a man’, is getting a divorce. Hmm. Excuse me for a moment while I nearly kill myself with peals of cruel laughter. (Times like this remind me of my absolute favourite Molly Ivins saying: “My momma may have raised a mean child, but she didn’t raise no hypocrite.” Damn straight.)
