Important URL Announcement: Starting Monday, Pith and Vinegar can be found at pithlog.com. I’m moving pocketgeek.com to a new server, and figured I may as well take the opportunity to give Pith it’s own domain.

How can you gain employment as a telephone psychic? If you were really psychic, you’d probably know already! Ha! Ha! Erm, anyway, we’re so glad you asked. The obvious place to start is at Book One of the Telephone Psychic Manual. (It should be noted that access to Books Two and Three is limited to practicing psychics only, leaving one to assume that they explain the mysteries of the mind, like the terribly secret OT III.)

In any case, this company seems like the most lax telephone psychic agency to work for, seeing as they’ll hire you even if “you never read the tarot or answered a phone” (never answered the phone? do their prospective employees live in a cave?) and are “about as psychic as a wet noodle”. Myself, if I was to pursue a career in the mystical arts, it would definitely be critomancy, the divination of cakes. Yummy!

Feel like irresponsibly mixing Kool Aid flavours, but don’t want to end up drinking something that looks and tastes like ditch water? Let Jonabad’s Mix Review do the prep work for you! (Note: Pith Inc. does not condone the drinking of Kool Aid.. anything one can effectively use as hairdye should not be consumed by the pitcherful. That is all.)

Stock up on jellybabies and grab a floppy hat, because the BBC will soon be debuting a new-ish Doctor Who ‘audio play’ online. The lead actors include Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, and (woohoo) Stephen Fry. (Fans of the latter genius will enjoy this well-stocked collection of scripts from “A Bit of Fry and Laurie”.)

For various and sundry reasons my weekend sucky sucky suck sucked. Big time. (Let’s just say that the main cause could be traced to a new work-related affiliate plan and the subsequent appearance of my loverly (work) website in every half-assed warez spammers’ pop-up window… )

l card But enough about you.. let’s talk about my cat a little more: A care package arrived from home yesterday (thanks, Mom and Dad) which included this hysterical greeting card (originally a Rhymes with Orange cartoon). Also in the shipment was HST’s Generation of Swine, which I highly recommend. It’s superior Thompson fare, with all the bitterness, but half the Nixon.
