So, yeah, about three weeks ago I was really busy with work and I said to myself, “Self, you’re pretty busy now, so why don’t you worry about posting to Pith tomorrow?” And then I never posted again. Anyway, thanks go to John and Ajay who both spontaneously sent me links yesterday in what I can only assume was a gentle prodding to get my ass back here to, if nothing else, delete the porn and spam that oozed all over Pith while I was gone. Eww!

So what have I been up to lately? I spent too much money on a wireless device that I now use almost exclusively for making appointments like “Meet parents for coffee”, or entering all my friends’ birthdays with lots of colourful icons. Money well spent! Hahaha! I have no self-control in cool geek stores! Somone stop me before I buy a tablet PC and use it solely to draw impromptu sketches of the cats.

I’ve also been on a campaign to be nice. Yeah, you read that right. There just seems to be so much divisiveness and mistrust and downright nasty people in the world right now that I went on a little one woman mission to be nice, friendly, and understanding to everyone and everything. I was doing a great job, smiling and nodding my way through life when last weekend I had an epiphany: I hate being nice. It’s boring, and people ignore you. So I guess I’ve shaken myself out of my recent funk by realizing that I generally hate everything, and that’s the way I like it. So back off, okay?

Also, I’ve been learning to play the electric guitar.

The Picture of Everything is a huge, hand-drawn picture of everything. Yes, I doubted the thoroughness too at first until further investigation showed that the author had even remembered to include Jackee. Jackee, people. When you get to Jackee, you know you’ve got everything else pretty much covered.

Dorian Gray slash fiction. Oscar Wilde is turning in his.. er.. actually, I’m not entirely sure he wouldn’t get a kick out of it.

Okay, I was going to post some assorted links today, but that was before watching the Paradise Hotel finale last night. Dave was robbed, people. Robbed by the self-absorbed Charla, who I was unwittingly rooting for. Argh.. I am actually quite bothered by this, so if anyone hears of a “send Dave a dollar” campaign going on somewhere let me know. Argh! Stupid reality television!

UPDATE: I just found a Send Dave a Dollar site. Done!
